What do Indian Brides wear at their wedding?

The wedding is meant to be one of the most memorable memories of an Indian bride, and she holds the main focus of every ceremony along with her groom. The Bridal Saree and Lehenga are designed with embroidery and beautifully intricate designs, making the outfit the most noticeable and admirable on the occasion.

Different cultures have different traditions. Various regions in India require the bride to wear certain jewelry and a specific type of saree in order to fulfill the tradition. The bride places Bindi’s which are circular red/white stickers between the eyebrows. The area on her forehead remains empty in order to place sindoor, which is done by the groom.

The bride has her hands and feet designed in Mehendi, which makes her overall bride look complete.

It is usually made by using deep crimson silk fabric and is embroidered and designed all over with gold threads. The most common fabric of the wedding sarees is silk, but modern Indian brides sometimes prefer satin, crepe, or georgette as their saree fabric.
